🚔 140+ MPH CHASE! DRIVER FLEES ARKANSAS TROOPER — THEN THIS HAPPENED!
ARKANSAS, USA 🇺🇸 — APRIL 24, 2026
A routine highway observation turned into a HIGH-SPEED POLICE PURSUIT on US Highway 412 near Tontitown, Arkansas. Dashcam footage from an Arkansas State Police trooper captured the dramatic sequence as a driver accelerated away from a traffic stop and reached speeds of more than 140 MPH.
🚨 IT STARTED WITH SPEEDING
According to the footage description, Arkansas State Police Trooper First Class Marshall Hill was positioned on US 412 West near Musteen Road, west of Tontitown. He observed a brown Chevrolet four-door sedan traveling through an active construction zone.
The trooper's radar reportedly showed the vehicle traveling approximately 77–78 MPH IN A 45-MPH ZONE. Emergency lights and siren were activated, but instead of stopping, the vehicle continued westbound.
The trooper caught up at approximately 105 MPH near Wildcat Creek. The situation quickly changed from a traffic enforcement encounter into a dangerous pursuit.
💨 THE PURSUIT PASSES 140 MPH
The driver continued accelerating while traveling west on US 412. According to the trooper's account, speeds eventually exceeded 140 MPH.
The fleeing vehicle reportedly moved rapidly between lanes while attempting to pass other traffic. At these speeds, every lane change created another potential hazard for everyone using the highway.
As the pursuit approached the Illinois River near Robinson Road, the driver attempted to maneuver around another vehicle. The sedan appeared to over-correct while entering a right-hand curve.
That was the moment the pursuit changed dramatically.
💥 THE CAR GOES AIRBORNE
The Chevrolet lost control and the driver's side struck the highway's MEDIAN CABLE BARRIER.
The impact damaged hundreds of feet of cable before the sedan was launched into the air. The vehicle rolled several times and eventually came to rest UPSIDE DOWN IN THE WESTBOUND LANES.
The image you provided shows the aftermath from the perspective of the police vehicle, with the overturned sedan blocking part of the roadway and debris scattered across the pavement.
🚑 FROM PURSUIT TO RESCUE
After the crash, the situation immediately became a RESCUE OPERATION.
The trooper approached the wrecked vehicle and initially had difficulty determining whether someone was inside because extremely loud music was reportedly coming from the car.
After looking through the shattered rear glass, officers located a SINGLE FEMALE OCCUPANT TRAPPED INSIDE.
Emergency medical personnel responded and worked to remove the driver from the severely damaged vehicle.
👮 DRIVER TAKEN INTO CUSTODY
The driver was identified as KRISTA BUNCH. According to the footage description, she told officers while still trapped inside the vehicle that she had become frightened and was late for a personal matter.
She was transported by EMS to Washington Regional Medical Center and was later medically cleared before being transferred into custody.
The reported charges included FLEEING, RECKLESS DRIVING, SPEEDING MORE THAN 15 MPH OVER THE LIMIT, IMPROPER OR UNSAFE LANE USAGE, AND FIRST-DEGREE CRIMINAL MISCHIEF related to the damaged cable barrier.
📹 WHY POLICE DASHCAM FOOTAGE MATTERS
This incident demonstrates why POLICE DASHCAM AND BODYCAM FOOTAGE can provide an important record of real police encounters.
The footage shows the progression from SPEEDING VIOLATION → TRAFFIC STOP ATTEMPT → HIGH-SPEED PURSUIT → CRASH → EMERGENCY RESPONSE → ARREST.
It also provides viewers with a first-person perspective of how quickly a traffic enforcement situation can develop into a major highway incident.
🚔 REAL POLICE ENCOUNTERS
The April 24 pursuit on US 412 is another example of how HIGH-SPEED PURSUITS CAN DEVELOP IN SECONDS. What began with a reported speeding violation became a 140+ MPH chase, a rollover crash and an emergency rescue.
For viewers interested in POLICE BODYCAM, TRAFFIC STOPS, POLICE PURSUITS AND ARRESTS, footage like this offers a direct look at the events from the law-enforcement perspective.
The incident also highlights the importance of highway safety, emergency response and the unpredictable nature of fleeing drivers.
REAL POLICE ENCOUNTERS. REAL DASHCAM FOOTAGE. REAL CONSEQUENCES. 🚔🇺🇸
